This course is has been developed to help all school related personal learn more about working with students with autism spectrum disorder.  You will learn about the best social skills training programs available that are evidence based, child specific, and meaningfully integrated.  Techniques and strategies will be reviewed such as social stories, visual supports, and video modeling.  You will be able to take away easy to use strategies and resource that can be utilized in any classroom.  Finally, the course will also review generalization strategies to help students carry over learned skills into different situations and contexts.

This course is appropriate for both general education and special education teachers of students in grades K-12 and is worth 45 hours of professional development.
