Is the university credit from University of Massachusetts Global at the graduate level?

Yes! All courses labeled as graduate level receive 3 graduate level credits from UMass Global. These courses are post-baccalaureate, professional-level, credit bearing courses, delivered at the graduate level in the field of education, and specifically designed for teachers. UMass Global is a WASC Senior College and a University Commission (WSCUC)-accredited nonprofit institution

Are the classes instructor-led?

Yes, although the courses are self-paced, all courses are instructor-led. Participants will receive a high level of interaction with their instructor, in addition to other participants. This is accomplished through online messaging, forums, and virtual live meetings.

How many courses can I enroll in? Is there a timeline minimum?

While you may register for multiple classes at the same time, in order to maintain the integrity of our courses, we require that you spend at least 3 weeks in each class. Should you register for more than one class, the minimum number of weeks is multiplied by the number of classes. For example, if you register for 2 classes, you must spend a minimum of 6 weeks in the classes (3 weeks per course). The timeline begins the day your register.

How long do I have to complete the course?

Participants have 12 months to complete a course. If you require an extension, please contact us. We are happy to grant a one-time extension.

Where can I find a syllabi?

While a syllabi is provided upon registration, if you would like to review it prior to enrolling, please request one by emailing INFO@pdclassesonline.com . Each course is written by highly trained NYS certified teachers who strive to make the learning online transferable to your specific classroom.

Will I receive a certificate of completion and/or a transcript?

Yes! Professional Development classes awarded a completion certificate and graduate-level classes are awarded an official transcript from UMass Global.

How do I participate in the class?

PD classesonline recognizes that quality online education can best be achieved through an educational management site called LearnUpon. Through this site students can upload all of their documents in a common place for best classroom practice and easy instructional access. You will be e-mailed access to your LearnUpon Classroom Site when you have paid in full for your class. If you do not receive our e-mail, check your spam folder and allow us as a contact. Technology support is available by emailing INFO@pdclassesonline.com.

Are refunds given?

Yes, refunds are given within 48 hours of registration by contacting us at INFO@pdclassesonline.com

Refund requests beyond 48 hours are given consideration based on the reason of the request and are typically handled with credit for an alternate course.

Are PD Classesonline courses approved by my district/state?

Each district and state has its own requirements for acceptance of professional development courses. Upon request, PD Classesonline will prove to you the full syllabi to submit to your district or state for approval prior to registering for a course. If your district has specific questions regarding a class, please let us know and we will provide the answer on our letterhead so you may provide it to your administrator.
