Carolyn Catalano

Mrs. Catalano graduated from College Misericordia in 1998 with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She has over 25 years of experience in the field of Occupational Therapy. Her work has centered on pediatrics with a focus on school-aged students and supporting teachers in their classroom, both with students in regular education and special education. She is excited to help you on your professional development journey.

Lindsay DeRosa PD Classes instructor

Lindsay DeRosa

Mrs. DeRosa graduated from SUNY Oswego in 2004 with a dual degree in Public Relations and Spanish. A brief time later, she received her Master’s Degree from Manhattanville College in 2005 in Spanish Education 7-12. She later returned to that same college in 2011 to achieve a teaching certificate in TESOL K-12. She has over 10 years of experience in the field of education, ranging from grades K-12. Mrs. DeRosa started her career as a public relations account executive in New York City at a television media agency. Also, she taught as a Spanish teacher at her former high school as well as at a high-performing middle school in lower Westchester. She currently is an elementary school English as a New Language teacher, a professional development facilitator for her district, as well as recently becoming a PDI online instructor. Most recently, she worked at a NAEYC accredited child care facility in New Milford, CT over this past summer and delivered high quality professional development to its childcare providers pertaining to team building for children.

Meghan Lohrs PdD Classes instructor

Megan Lohrs

Megan Lohrs graduated from the University of Vermont in 2011 with degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education along with a concentration in mathematics. She received a Master of Professional Studies degree in Literacy Specialty from Manhattanville College in 2014. Megan has attended over 120 hours of training at Columbia University’s Teachers College in both the Reading and Writing Workshop models. She currently teaches second-grade and coaches the teachers at her school in the literacy curriculum from Columbia University.

Joesph Mahoney PD Classes instructor

Joesph Mahoney

Mr. Mahoney graduated from Ithaca College in 1993 with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education, and received a Master's degree in Education from Western Connecticut State University in 1997. Mr. Mahoney has taught high school mathematics for 26 years, teaching all levels of students in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. Since 2007, Mr. Mahoney has also worked as an Education Specialist for the Office of State Assessment of the New York State Education Department.

Juliet Powers PD Classes instructor

Juliet Powers

Ms. Powers graduated from Northeastern University in 1995, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Clinical Psychology, and received her MS Ed in  Counseling Psychology from Fordham University in 1998. She has worked as a school counselor for the past 21 years in a public high school in NY. Her experience includes working with both general education and special education students grades  9-12. 


Kris Scuccimarra PD Classes instructor

Kris Scuccimarra

Mr. Scuccimarra graduated from Western Colorado University in 1999 with a degree in English. He then earned a Masters in Educational Psychology from Marist College. During his 15 years of teaching English at a public high school, he has worked with every grade level and ability. He is also a concurrent enrollment instructor for SUNY Dutchess teaching Public Speaking. In addition to teaching, Mr. Scuccimarra is a head coach helping his district to implement PBIS at the secondary level.
